HE IS AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED ARTIST, AS HIS CARVINGS HAVE TOURED ALL OVER THE WORLD IN SOLO EXHIBITIONS CENTERED ENTIRELY AROUND HIS WORKS. UPON TAKING A CLOSER LOOK, YOU WILL NOTICE ALL OF THE MAGNIFICENT LINES AND ETCHING MARKS PLACED AROUND THE BODY, GIVING THIS BEAR A MUCH MORE DYNAMIC, AND ROUGH LOOK WHICH ALLOWS IT TO BE VIEWED AS ALMOST REAL. THIS TAKES INCREDIBLE DISCIPLINE, TIME AND SKILL FOR AN ARTIST TO ACHIEVE THIS. IN FACT, THEIR IS CURRENTLY NO OTHER ARTIST OUT THEIR WHO CAN ACHIEVE THIS STYLE OF CARVING WITH THE SAME SUCCESS AS SIMON. THIS IS WHY HE IS INTERNATIONALLY FAMOUS! 2) ACTION SETTINGS: SIMON'S CARVINGS ALSO GET NOTORIETY BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT STILLS. As mentioned in other postings, I only buy carvings from well recognized artists who's carvings are extraordinarily beautiful and unique. I stay away from the "giftware" and only deal with REAL art. Since I am somewhat of an artist myself outside of work, I like to think that I have good taste. When I saw this Bear for the first time, it really impressed me. I have never seen a bear carving as detailed or beautiful before! A masterpiece such as this Bear, from an internationally acclaimed artist, who's works have toured all over the world on the international stage, will be certain to appreciate in value over the years. This acquisition is investment and will pay you immediate dividends down the road. This carving is BIG, it measures over 11" long, 4.5" high. The carving is accompanied by an IGLOO TAG (authenticity certificate by the Government of Canada). The carving is also signed on the bottom by the Inuit artist Simon Qamanirq. The carving is new and perfect, it has no inclinations or any other imperfections!
